Solid hardwood quadrant is an edging profile, more commonly known as beading. It is designed specifically to cover the gaps left for expansion around the perimeter of a room. Quadrant is normally used as an addition if a skirting board has been left in place when the floor has been fitted. Quadrant has a convex shape which adds a certain elegance to the profile.

Available in long lengths and multiple colours. If ordering a Rafe Olsen floor, please select the “colour matched” option and we will apply the same processes to the profiles as we do the floor. This will provide the best possible chance of the profiles and floor being complimentary.

NB – “Colour Matched” finish only available when ordering a Rafe Olsen floor.

Lead times for Rafe Olsen products can vary depending on the items that have been ordered. Generally, the less complicated the finish, the quicker the delivery.

For more information about why, what and when, please follow the link to see our dedicated page on Lead Times & Delivery.

As an indication, please see the following details:

Unfinished/Untreated Oak Trims – Delivery within 3 Days

Bespoke Coloured Trims – Delivery within 14 Days

The quickest and most economical method of delivery will be selected by Rafe Olsen when the order is complete. Small items will be delivered by a parcel courier service and larger flooring orders will be dispatched via the pallet network. Orders delivered on a pallet will not necessarily require a forklift to remove them. Most lorries are equipped with tail lifts and means of manoeuvring pallets to where they need to be left.

On all occasions, consignments will require a signature on delivery. Delivery to a neighbour (or a work address) is perfectly acceptable if they are willing to take responsibly for the goods.

Rafe Olsen skirting and scotia requires a basic knowledge of carpentry to produce an acceptable finish. Long lengths ensure the fewest joins possible but, where unavoidable, all straight and corner joins should be mitred. The profile itself can be fix to the wall with high grab adhesive and pins. That said, for larger skirting profiles, we would recommend countersunk screw fixing and then plugging the heads.
